I wonder why, when people are having a bad day or in a bad mood, they like to stay in bed, and if it is the day time, keep the room as dark as night time. I know Carrie Bradshaw did that. I know I do that; fact of the matter is, I just did. Although, come to think of it, this could be the first time for me, because I don't usually go to bed in the middle of the day. I hardly take afternoon naps.
But this afternoon, after having lunch with some friends, I came home, a little bit troubled and dissatisfied, changed into my house clothes, brought the laptop with me to bed, checked some things online, put the laptop aside, took off my glasses, and promptly went to sleep. I didn't get out of bed until it was 7 something in the evening, although, in between, I was woken up a few times by either a text message on the phone or by my own accord.
Now, I'm worried I wouldn't be able to sleep later tonight. And on top of that, I'm still a tiny bit troubled and dissatisfied. Dang it.

Currently listening to: 梁山伯与茱丽叶 by 卓文萱 and 曹格
I was going to do it the way I did the last entry, and then I figured that it wouldn't work, simply because I have mixed everything together. And I am just too lazy to separate them out.
So, between today and last week, I have watched Run Papa Run, Kungfu Panda, Sex And The City, and Kungfu Dunk. I think it's safe to say that I enjoyed watching all of them, but if I have to rank them, I think it will be Kungfu Panda and Sex And The City tied at first place, followed by Run Papa Run, and finally Kungfu Dunk.
By the way, the last two movies are Chinese movies, starring Louis Koo and Jay Chou respectively.

11th June
I woke up at 5am, got picked up by the taxi at 5.50am, boarded the plane at about 6.45am, and reached Wellington Airport at about 8am. I then proceeded to take a taxi to the office, where I spent the next 7 hours listening to the higher-ups of ACC talking about ACC and themselves. When it was finally over, I met up with friends for dinner (Malaysian food, yum!), went back to a friend's place (where I was to stay for the next 2 days), watched a truly disturbing movie (3 Needles), and had supper (Malaysian food, yum!).
12th June
I woke up at 8am, left the house at about 8.30am, almost died from walking up the hill on my way to the Malaysian High Commission, reached the place at 9am, and handed in all the documents needed to apply for a Letter of Good Conduct at about 9.30am. I then proceeded to walk downhill (at a leisurely pace) towards the city centre, where I bought a jacket (I've been wanting a jacket like that for ages), used the Internet (I paid $5 for an hour), bought a gift voucher (for a friend's birthday), searched for and sampled perfumes at department stores (Tommy Hilfiger's Dreaming), and booked myself in for an impromptu hair appointment at a random hair salon I happen to pass by on my way to lunch (I had told myself that if they could actually book me in on that very day itself, I would just go for it and do something to my hair).
After a quick lunch (Malaysian food, yum!), I spent the next 2 hours getting my hair done (I got highlights), spent another hour at Starbucks (calling up motels in Christchurch to book a room for 5 on Saturday and planning a friend's family trip around New Zealand in August), and then spent 2 more hours waiting with a friend for another friend's birthday dinner (while waiting, we moved from Starbucks and hot drinks to the dinner venue and beer). After dinner, we went back to the house for some cake (a surprise from the friend's boyfriend; it was shaped like a fish, complete with the scales AND little fishes in the stomach) and SingStar (a PS2 game where you sing against each other and see who gets the most points).
13th June
I woke up at 10am, caught up on the latest gossips with belated-birthday-friend, went into town for lunch (more Malaysian food, yum!), caught up on more gossips with belated-birthday-friend, took the bus home, then drove out for a fancy dinner at this French restaurant (the French accents of the waiters and waitresses were so strong, we couldn't understand what they were saying most of the time).
14th June
I woke up at 8am, packed and left for breakfast at 9am, accompanied a friend to her hair appointment at 10am (it was a little bit of a funny experience, because the hairdressers thought that my friend couldn't understand Mandarin, so they talked about the shape of her head right in front of her, and she heard and understood every word), left the hair salon at about 1pm, had lunch (you guessed it, Malaysian food, yum!), went for coffee at about 2.30pm, left for the airport at about 3.30pm, flew from Wellington to Christchurch at 4.35pm, touched down and took a shuttle to the motel at about 5.35pm, took a free casino shuttle to the casino at 7 pm (so that my friend and I didn't need to pay for a shuttle and still get into town), had dinner at a Thai restaurant and then watched the movie 21 at about 8.45pm (not a bad dinner, and not a bad movie), finished the movie and went back to the casino to meet up with our other friends at about 10.30pm (one of them actually hit the mini jackpot on the slot machines), went for late night Dim Sum at about 11pm (although I was still full and not in the mood of eating anything), went back to the motel and watched the movie Are We Done Yet at about 12am (funny enough movie), then went to bed at about 1.30am.
15th June
I woke up at 9am, packed and left the motel at 10am, followed a friend around while he ran some errands before going for another round of Dim Sum at about 11am, went window-shopping/shopping at about 12pm (I got myself a $10 cap which I wore immediately after paying for it), had bubble tea at about 2pm, left Christchurch for Dunedin at about 3pm, and reached home at about 8.30pm.

Currently listening to: 他不爱我 by 莫文蔚
I'm off to Wellington tomorrow morning. I will not be back until Sunday evening. I do not think I will be able to write while I am there, but who knows these things. I may have a lot of things to write about when I come back, but again, who knows these things.
Anyway, I should refrain from shopping and focus on eating while I'm there. Goodness knows I've shopped enough online. And goodness knows I haven't had proper Malaysian food for more than a year. I don't crave it, but I definitely wouldn't mind having it. Yum.

Currently listening to: The strong gusts of wind outside my room
I don't get you sometimes. You're hot. You're cold. You're hot. You're cold. Seriously, which one are you exactly? Or maybe, I should be asking this instead.
Is it you, or is it really just me?

Currently listening to: Once In A Blue Moon by S.E.N.S
In the past three days, I watched Dirty Deeds, What Happens In Vegas, The Forbidden Kingdom, and The Number 23. The first two movies are comedies; the third is a kungfu action movie; the fourth is a thriller. The first was funny, but not my type of humour; the second was funny, and more my type of humour; the third was a little bit funny, a little bit of kungfu action; the fourth was so-so, but it could be because I already know the whole story before watching it.
Anyway, I bought a pot (more like a basket) of pink tulips yesterday. They looked really pretty, and I was going to give it to a friend to be cared for, except that they have a lifespan of only about a week. So now they are in my bathroom, because they prefer the cold, and the bathroom is usually colder than my room. Although it is much colder now than usual because I left the window open. For the tulips.

I don't know why, but I just keep yawning and yawning the whole morning! I mean, it's not like I didn't have enough sleep yesterday. Sure I had a weird dream, but I always have weird dreams. It's the norm. In my life anyway. Really odd.
I'm taking a break now from entering invoices at work. Honestly, processing invoices the WHOLE FREAKING DAY is NOT FUN. It may seem like a piece of cake, but believe it or not, it does take a toll on you. Not so much physically, but mentally. And when you are mentally exhausted, you are as good as physically exhausted. Which is why I am so getting out of here at in 4 hours time. Can't wait.
Anyway. I've been eating out the whole week. And I haven't been paying for my meals the whole week either. Because lately, my friends and I have been having a Who-Gets-To-Pay-The-Bill war, and I have been on the losing side. Just because I'm a little bit slow in getting to the counter.
The truth is, I don't really like fighting over a bill. So that could also be why I have been losing so constantly. I just give in. But I do win sometimes. As long as I move faster than the others to get to the counter. Which is every now and then. I have also taken to abusing the bill-payer, so hopefully that is going to help.

It must have been the fright of my life. It must have been, because I really was screaming at the top of my lungs. Like the girls in the horror movies. And for a brief moment, I actually felt like crying. I didn't, but I still had to wipe the tears away from my eyes.

Currently listening to: 一眼瞬间 by 張惠妹 and 萧敬腾
I watched An Empress And The Warriors yesterday night. It wasn't as bad as The Heartbreak Kid, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Pass it over if you have a choice.
Then, today, I watched Missionary Man. If it was up to me, I would not have picked the movie to watch, but it wasn't, so I watched it. It was interesting, but I still wouldn't have chosen to watch it if I was given a choice again.
I also watched Underdog today, and this one I didn't mind watching. It wasn't roll-on-the-floor-laughing funny, but it's still funny. And cute. Watching the doggies do their thing was fun.
On another matter altogether, I'm not sure if I enjoyed myself thoroughly during the course of this evening, but I must admit, I much prefer the moments spent towards the end of it.

Currently listening to: 男人女人 by 許茹芸 and 阿穆隆
I really am quite lazy to write, but I figured that I should, so here I am. Maybe I will elaborate, maybe I won't. Either way, here's a rundown of what I have been doing for the past week.
I watched Leatherheads on Friday night, and it was good. I found it really funny, and I loved the chemistry between Renee Zellweger and George Clooney. Even when covered with mud, he exudes charm in the buckets. Cool guy, great acting.
On Saturday night, my friends and I went out clubbing, and we went to this new place (it's actually old, but I have never been there, because it looked dodgy on the outside, and I didn't know anybody who would want to go there with me, until now) which I found to be really nice. Not just the setting of the place, but also the music. The DJs were playing live, and they were good. I was impressed, and danced my heart out. Tells you how much I enjoyed it.
Today, just now, I watched PS I Love You, and while it did not replace City Of Glass as the most romantic movie I have ever seen, it IS a rather romantic movie. With plenty of sugary sweet "aww" moments. Great acting all around.
