Extremely stupid, complicated, hopeless, and cold

Currently listening to: Nothing

Stupid people should not be allowed to go to universities and tarnish not only the university's name but also the names of the other students who go to the same university. And when I say stupid, I do not mean it in the intellectual sense.

If it was up to me, I would have the police pull and analyse all videos of the event, identify the stupid people, and slap them with a hefty fine. Slapping them literally would be good too, but I don't think they're allowed to do that.

Mean old ladies

Currently listening to: Nothing

Do we get more irritable as we get older? More short-tempered? More eccentric?

I used to think that the elderlies in New Zealand are alright, unti 1 week ago, when I encountered a not-so-alright elderly in a supermarket.

I know that it was my fault I hadn't been carrying the mirror properly, thus hitting her in the knee by accident. I understand that it may have been very painful for her, given her age. I DID say that I am sorry.

Unfortunately, that wasn't good enough for the old lady, who started cursing (bloody hell she had said) and giving me the stink-eye. And apparently, one stink-eye wasn't good enough either, because as she walked off, she turned around to give me another stink-eye. And then walked off again, only to turn around yet another time to give me one last stink-eye.

Alright. So maybe I should've been more apologetic. Maybe, instead of apologising just once, I should've apologised over and over again, until she's disappeared from my sight. Still, I can't help but feel that she's being meaner to me because I'm Asian.

Anyway, you'd think that one encounter would be enough to last me a lifetime. But no. Just today, I had the privilege of coming across yet another not-so-alright elderly at another supermarket. I am THIS close to vowing never to step into a supermarket again.

This time, I didn't bump into any part of the old lady's body. I did, however, unintentionally get in her way as she was about to come out of the supermarket with her trolley. I was trying to get back in to put my trolley back, and the moment I saw her coming I immediately tried to move out of the way, but it was a bit hard, given that there were plenty of people around us, trying to get in or out.

The next thing I know, she bellowed, "Excuse me! Let the old lady through!" And proceeded to push her way through, while I barely managed to move my trolley out of her way so as to avoid a head-on collision. I am pretty sure that I wasn't the only one with the what-is-wrong-with-you-lady expression on my face, because I caught another lady (older than I am, but younger than the old lady) having the same expression on her face. And this one also gave me the feeling that she's being meaner to me because I'm Asian.

I hope, for their own sake, that they'd lighten up a little, and soon, because otherwise, they'd end up all alone at the very end.

Currently listening to: 怎麽捨得你 by 張學友

I am currently addicted to this song.

Anyway. Here are some physical facts about myself:

  1. I have thick, coarse, dry hair
  2. I have long eyelashes
  3. I have combination-type skin on my face, and dry skin on my body
  4. I have combination-type teeth ("rabbit", "leopard", etc)
  5. I have no boobs
  6. I have long limbs (arms and legs, fingers and toes)
  7. I have a tiny bum
Expanding on Physical Fact 3, I get massive breakouts if I don't get enough sleep (at least 7 hours) for 2 days in a row. Just 1 day is already pushing it.

Currently listening to: 怎麼捨得你 by 張學友

My first speeding ticket, it cost me 300 bucks (10 bucks for each kilometre over the limit). The second time it was 120 bucks. The third time (only this past Saturday), it was 80 bucks.

Guess I am making some progress in that area.

List of things [Part 2]

Currently listening to: 如果愛 by 方大同

Today I:

  1. Dropped my car off at the workshop and got it serviced and repaired (hello mudguard, goodbye squeaky backseat)
  2. Met up with my previous landlady and got my money back (more than half of it anyway, and 5 pieces of Ferrero Rocher chocolates)
  3. Booked my 2nd out of 4 tickets for my return journey to Malaysia
  4. Remembered what I had forgotten about yesterday

List of things [Part 1]

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Currently listening to: Nothing, but I'm watching the ending of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe

Yesterday, I:

  1. Applied and got approval for 20 days of annual and anticipated leave from work (1-27 June)
  2. Made an appointment to service and repair my car (it's missing a mudguard, and the backseat squeaks)
  3. Booked my 1st out of 4 tickets for my return journey to Malaysia
  4. Did something which I've probably forgotten about now

Tomorrow, I have to:
  1. Send my car to the workshop to get it serviced and repaired
  2. Meet up with my previous landlady to explain to her why she still owes me money (or at least pass her the documents which clearly shows her why)
  3. Increase the limit on my credit card to make life easier (or not, we'll see)
  4. Do something which I'm pretty sure I've forgotten about now

Currently listening to: 好想好想 by 趙薇

Even my Mum says that I'm rational. Used the exact words too. Not that there are other words for it in the first place. But still.

And I think I scared my cousin sister away when I told her that I was reading her blog. Funny how her response and my sister's response to this matter were one and the same.

"You know how to read Chinese meh?"

My response?

"Who told you I don't know how to read Chinese?"

So, the lesson to be learnt from this incident, is to never underestimate me. The Ice Queen. Because I freeze.

Muahahahaha!

Currently listening to: Ama Kakeru Ryu No Hirameki from Rurouni Kenshin

It says 30 degrees on the website. It displays an image of the sun. And so, I did my laundry and washed my car. By hand. The car washing I mean.

But now, it freaking starts to rain.

Why? Why do you always choose the days when I get my car washed to rain? Why?
