Currently listening to: Nothing

As of this past Sunday, I, like my darling Drama Queen, am The Girl In The Cool Trench Coat.

The title didn't come cheap, of course. To date, it is the most expensive thing that I have bought for myself, by myself.

Anyway, here's the final list of my "holiday earnings":

  • 9 tops
  • 2 pairs of jeans
  • 2 pairs of shoes
  • 2 bags
  • Undergarments
  • Socks
  • Skin care products
  • Hair care products
  • Cellphone
  • External hard drive
It may seem like a lot, but it actually isn't very many. My suitcase was so empty that I was able to pack the 2 pairs of shoes with their boxes into the suitcase, as well as the box for my new cellphone. Imagine that.

Currently listening to: Nothing

I unexpectedly got the day off today, thanks to some power company messing up the power connections to my work place. So I slept in, and have been on the Internet since I got up.

Currently listening to: Nothing

4 more hours, and it's goodbye to free-and-pampered life, hello to independent-and-independent life. It has been a good 1 month, and I think I am truly ready to go back.

To the people whom I did not get to meet up with, I am sorry. You will be my top priority the next time I am back. To the people whom I did get to meet up with, thank you. You will also be my top priority the next time I am back (albeit slightly lower).

To my parents, I will miss being pampered. Although I do not think that I will miss being forced to eat things which I do not like to eat.

To my sister, I will miss acting silly and crazy in front of you and teasing you and making you angry. And congratulations to you (and your band) on winning the state-level marching band competition. I wish you all the best for the national-level competition in July (despite your lucky charm (that is me) not being there).

To my brother, I have only seen you for a bit before you jetted off (in a boat) to some island, and our interactions have been somewhat little (very little actually), but thanks for calling me today and wishing me a safe journey.

To my extended family, thank you for everything, and I will see you all soon.

XOXO

Currently listening to: Nothing

Within the last 2-3 days, I have watched quite a few movies:

  • Isabella (Hong Kong movie, starring Isabella Leung and Chapman To)
  • The Knot (Chinese movie, starring Chen Kun and Vivian Hsu)
  • The Floating Landscape (Chinese movie, starring Liu Ye and Karena Lam)
  • A1 Headline (Hong Kong movie, starring Anthony Wong, Tony Leung Ka-Fai, and Angelica Lee)
  • Breaking News (Hong Kong movie, starring Richie Ren and Kelly Chen)
  • Blood Brothers (Chinese movie, starring Daniel Wu, Liu Ye, and Shu Qi)
  • Hero The Legend (Hong Kong movie, starring Takeshi Kaneshiro and Yuen Biao)
  • Hearty Paws (Korean movie, starring a kid boy, a kid girl, and a dog)
  • Miss Potter (English movie, starring Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor)
  • Gigolo Wannabe (Japanese movie, starring Oguri Shun and 6 other not-bad-looking men)
Actually, the only movie which I have watched fully is Blood Brothers. The rest, I have only watched partially; I mostly missed their beginnings, although for Miss Potter, I missed both the beginning and the ending.

I think Liu Ye and Chen Kun (both from China and rather charming-looking) are good actors, while Vivian Hsu (from Taiwan), surprisingly, is not too bad either. And I don't have to tell you how good both Daniel Wu and Ewan McGregor are.

Currently listening to: 青花瓷 by 周杰倫

I am back from Hong Kong and Macau, and so far I have:

  • Bought more clothes (1 top from Cotton On, 1 top from Bauhaus)
  • Bought a bag (from Disneyland Hong Kong)
  • Bought a wristlet (from Dooney & Bourke)
  • Bought shoes (a pair of ballet flats from Cotton On; as of writing, it has died and gone to shoe heaven due to constant walking in the rain while in Hong Kong and Macau)
  • Got a new handphone (Nokia 5800)
  • Spent a fair amount of money on my spoilt little sister
  • Let my parents spend a fair amount of money on me
  • Taken part in a family portrait photography session at a wedding studio
  • Suffered constant headaches due to the almost unbearably hot and humid weather
  • Met up with more friends
Stay tuned. I'll be back. You know I will.

Currently listening to: 浪漫手機 by 周杰倫

So far, I've:

  • Eaten 3 meals a day everyday (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Had my teeth scaled and polished (as mentioned in the previous entry)
  • Cut my hair and had it treated (scalp and all)
  • Bought clothes (2 tops from SubZero, 2 from Voir, 1 from Romp, 1 pair of skinny legs from IZO, another pair from Tough)
  • Bought shoes (a pair of open-toe flats from Summit)
  • Acquired 5 mosquito bites
  • Encountered a cockroach (albeit dead)
  • Reformatted 2 desktops
  • Drove around the block twice
  • Met up with friends once
Tomorrow morning, I'm off to Hong Kong and Macau. Hopefully, I'll come back next Wednesday night with a longer list.

Currently listening to: Nothing

It had been a very tiring journey, but it had been a good journey nonetheless. Mainly because I got to meet up with a good friend enroute, and a few of her nice friends. And this lady at the AirAsia check-in counter at the Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport. She totally made my evening by not charging me excess baggage charges AND changing my seat so that I no longer had to sit in between 2 strangers, but instead had 3 seats all to myself. Lovely.

Anyway. Today is only my 2nd day back, but I have already managed to cross out a few things on my to-do list, like going to the dentist for teeth scaling and polishing (no more calculus), clothes-shopping (I had only packed 2 days worth of clothes in my luggage), and shoe-shopping (I want pretty and casual sandals, pretty and comfortable ballet flats, pretty and not-so-high heels).

Hopefully, by the time I go to Hong Kong this weekend, I will have had my hair treated (no more split ends), bought more clothes (there is never enough clothes), and... I don't know what else, so yeah.
